Local SEO Austin
Local SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is an incredibly effective way to market your business online. It helps businesses promote products or services to local customers at the exact time they’re looking for them. Its important to keep in mind search intent as it refers to the intent behind every search query.
Properly implemented local SEO gets your business placed well organically as well as in Google’s answer box and local search queries. You want to be in the google maps section and ranked well within that section. This way whenever someone intentionally searches for products or services you provide, they’ll be able to connect with you.
And its great when Google recognizes your products or services can be found near that person searching.
Local SEO is essential to smaller businesses who operate locally or regionally. While nationwide SEO focuses on ranking in searches across the country, local SEO prioritizes appearing on SERPs for a specific area. This requires branding your name, products and services to local customers.
Optimizing locally equals up to more local site traffic leads and local conversions since the strategy is more relevant. Think of this focused strategy as a way to help compete more effectively against larger national brands that have unlimited resources. By focusing on specific local-SEO, you neutralize the advantage bigger brands that routinely optimize for broader keywords and rely on brand recognition, instead of value propositions, to bring in traffic.
Google is constantly changing its ranking factors for SEO and staying up to date is important but time-consuming. Luckily, we understand the complexity of these changes — so you don’t have to.
Most SEO configurations are universal to every site and so we apply them accordingly whether you’re a global company or a small local business looking for more calls or customers to your storefront.
Local SEO, however, is a different type of SEO unto itself, in order to rank well you need a local SEO company to help place your business information and website listings where it can gain the most value.
We strongly recommend covering all your bases.
Step one is claiming your local business listing from Google and Bing. You’ll never rank well in the local maps sections without them. Claiming and optimizing this listing is one of the first parts to local SEO. It’s extremely important to set up your business page properly. Relevant keywords and Titles, lots of pictures and as detailed as possible when it comes to your industry.
Next, we work on links.
Linkbuilding will always be a big part of SEO, but link factors have recently changed. The most important parts now are the quality and diversity of inbound links to your domain, links from locally relevant domains, links from industry-relevant domains and the diversity of inbound links to your Google My Business landing page URL. (it must all add up according to Google)
In order to tap into this wonderful place full of constant customers your website must rank well both organically and be visible inside Google’s local maps. Getting great placement in the search results directly affects your Google business listing, its why we start every local SEO campaign with Google Map citations.
